🚀 Quick Overview

In this guide you will learn:

  • How to add a basic cut scene attack
  • How to add dialog to your cut scene
  • How to make advanced custom attack cut scenes
  • When and why to use each type of cut scene

Let's go! 🎯

Step 1 - Adding a Cut Scene 🎯

In the main editor menu, scroll down and click "Attacks".
There, set Boss to Other and Attack to Cut scene.

✅ During the cut scene, everything disappears except the background, sprites, and the skip button!

Step 2 - Adding the Dialog 💬

In the main editor menu, click "Dialogs".
There, click "Add" and type in what you want your boss to say.

📣 Dialogs happen before attacks, in the order they are placed.

⚠️ Important!
Don't put critical commands inside the custom attacks commands when skippabable
If a player skips, the commands inside the command are skipped.
Example: {boss-set-hp-percentage=100} will not work if the player skips the cut scene.
Commands that are inside Dialogs will still be executed as of version 2.5.1

Step 3 - Making a Custom Attack Cut Scene 🛠️

Want more control?
You can also make cut scenes using a custom attack!

🎨 Try This!
  • In the Attacks menu, click "Custom".
  • Click "Add" to create a new custom attack.
  • In the custom attack settings, turn ON "In Cut Scene".
  • Back in Attacks, set Boss to Custom and pick your new attack.

Custom attack cut scenes are advanced versions of regular cut scenes:

  • You can use behaviors (like "commands") to show dialogs during the cut scene.
  • You can add projectiles, custom animations, and more.
  • The soul is hidden — so it can't be hit during the scene!
  • You can also make it unskippable, perfect for important moments.
